Pilgrim Haven Natural Area
Pilgrim Haven is nestled along the coast that offers breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, along with a universally accessible walkway connecting a parking lot and restrooms facilities. Pilgrim Haven is a popular location for rock collectors as its beach has natural rocks throughout the location. Pilgrim Haven offers hiking trails with numerous lookout points offering scenic views of Lake Michigan and surrounding landscapes. This location is kindly maintained through mowing, trash removal, and trail upkeep ensuring that visitors can enjoy the beauty and natural surroundings. Pilgrim Haven invites tourists and residents to relax, hike, and enjoy nature.
Pilgrim Haven was conserved in 2011 by Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy, who continues to protect its natural features.
Phoenix Kayak Launch
Embracing its Trail Town designation, our community takes pride in over 91 miles of scenic kayaking and canoeing trails along the beautiful Black River and beyond. Recent improvements have enhanced accessibility and safety for paddlers of all abilities:

Deerlick Creek Beach (South Haven Township Park)
Deerlick Creek Park is a Lake Michigan beach access in South Haven Township with a small creek entering Lake Michigan. To launch a kayak there is a compacted stone pathway from the parking area to about 100 feet of sandy beach with a slight slope. There is a rock jetty on the northern end of the access site.
SHARA Disc Golf Park
The 14th Avenue Disc Golf Park offers an exciting 18-hole course that winds through lush woodlands, providing a challenging yet enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels. The well-maintained fairways and meticulously groomed greens offer a perfect setting for a fantastic round of disc golf.
